Datil Hot Peppers
I get our Datil Dew Pepper Products right from the grower and manufacturer of these products here in North Florida!
Spanish Datil pepper seeds were brought to St. Augustine, Florida by the Minorcans in 1777. Since that time, the pepper has been a prominent ingredient in Minorcan recipes including homemade sausage and pilau, which is meat, seafood, chicken or vegetables cooked with rice. If you've ever had Minorcan clam chowder, you already know about the great flavor enhancer the Datil pepper can be.
The area in and around St. Augustine, Florida is the only place in the country where the Datil Pepper grows abundantly. The Datil pepper is orange/yellow in color and has a pungent distinct flavor. While similar to the Habanero, the Datil boasts a flavor of its own. It is rated at around 300,000 on the scoville units scale. We be talkin HOT!!!! These great peppers are grown and packaged locally. Each wonderful sauce, spice or pickle is a 'one of a kind' recipe from the growers. These big squeezable 16 oz. containers are so handy! Another advantage these products have over other pepper products is that these require NO refrigeration!! Leave em on the table! No spoilage problem and no artificial preservatives are used!

Outback Red 16 ozs. Heat # 5

This sauce has a medium dissipating heat with a profound Datil pepper flavor. It can be used on foods that need some added enhancement, from seafood to comfort food, fish to fowl, barbeque to veggies. This is the one that gets it done!

6 Mile Gold 16 ozs. Heat # 5

This sauce has a mild mustard flavor, quite sweet but not to the point of overpowering the Datil pepper taste. It offers a medium forgiving heat that is excellent on fish, poultry, pork or beef. Consummates a corned beef and rye marriage!

Inferno 16 ozs. Heat # 8

A fine tomato base sauce that has the heat to satisfy a hothead's needs and deliver the Datil pepper FLAVOR without sacrificing the heat. This sauce will make a believer outta you!

Raz L' Datil 16 ozs. Heat # 3

Sensational mix of honey, red raspberries, butter and other good stuff that makes a taste that is habit forming and un-forgotten! Use this as a glaze or marinade. This stuff is drinkable! The Godiva of glaze!

Meat Mate 16 ozs. Heat # 5

A unique blend of the tomato and the mustard seed laced with the Datil pepper in just the right proportions to consummate the marriage of the meater and the meatee. Without this, you'll have a tank full of empty!
