Pink Tourmaline is reported to be a good healing stone for back pain and injuries of the spine.
Tourmaline is reported to be good for anemia; increases success and love; relieves fatigue.  It is associated with both the crown and heart chakras.  The appearance of Tourmaline is shiny, opaque or transparent, long striated or hexagonal structure. Other colors are black (schorl), brown (Dravite), green (verdelite), yellow, blue (indicolite or indigolite), watermelon, blue-green and red (Rubelite).  The modern naming tends to simply append the color in front of "tourmaline" as in "pink tourmaline".
Tourmaline was first imported into Europe by the Dutch in 1703; but, was known since ancient times in the Mediterranean area.
